You can apply if you're at least 18 years old and have a valid reason for opening an account. Requirements may vary depending on where you're opening it.

Once you start, we’ll guide you through the process, whether it’s online, through our International Banking Center, or at a branch, and what documents you’ll need.

In some locations, you may need to visit a local branch.

Any international product is subject to local regulations.

To complete your application, you may need to provide:

Your employment, income, and tax information
Valid ID, such as a passport or national ID card
Proof of address, such as a bank statement or utility bill
Additional documents, subject to local regulations

You can connect abroad if you're a Global Private Banking or Premier client.

To waive monthly and account opening fees, you must:

Meet the eligibility criteria for Global Private Banking or Premier in at least one market.

If you don’t meet the eligibility criteria, a monthly fee may apply to your account. Before opening your account abroad, we recommend checking the terms and conditions with your Relationship Manager.

This process typically takes around 14 days, though it can be faster in some markets if you apply online.

During this time, you’ll need to provide and verify all documents.

Make sure your personal and contact information is up to date before applying. If you need to update anything after starting, you’ll need to reapply.

Factors beyond our control, such as increased client inquiries or time zone differences, may extend the process.
